You had me at 'oh hai' - December 16th, 2009

Five years making video games, and it’s a pair of hastily-made earrings that gets me on the front page of reddit. I don’t pretend to understand the internet, but I am going to roll with it.

For those of you who are new to the site, and/or interested in my games, I’m going to ask that you check out the Facebook page for my upcoming project Puzzle Bots. It’s a point-and-click adventure game about robots that must work together to foil an evil plot. We’re hoping to have it out in February. We’ve got an info page set up for the game here, and there’s also a trailer.

We’re a small indie team with a marketing budget of couch change, so if you think this is something you’d enjoy, I encourage you to promote it to your friends. Cheers. :)

Edit: Forgot to mention this, but if you participate in the holiday sale at Wadjet Eye Games, you can be part of the public beta of Puzzle Bots. Instructions are here.

Well Ivy, or Erin if you prefer, you are now officially a nerd sex symbol. Though I would never encourage anyone to base their sense of self worth on their attractiveness alone, you must feel super special today.

I see you have already leveraged your new-found internet fame to promote your game you and your cohorts are developing. Good job! Remember, there’s no such thing as bad publicity.

I for one will be checking out your game and in all likelihood sign up for the beta test. I see you mention AGS. Is that what you used to develop the game?

Well, quite frankly, this means more to me than that other reddit thread. :)

We are indeed using AGS to create the game, although we keep having to push the engine to do things it wasn’t meant to (complex pathfinding for multiple characters…oy. And I’m not even the one coding). I hope you enjoy the beta, and if you do, I hope you mention the game to any adventure game lovers in your life. Cheers!

Its good to hear you promoting the game, I feel like its gonna be a winner. Keep up the good work :)
