Woo! I can finally start talking about my new commercial game project!
The press release is visible at Dave Gilbert’s site here. It’s written in a very fancy version of English but I think I can make it out.
Here’s what I can tell you about the game (or maybe what I copy-pasted from Dave’s site):
It will be a puzzle themed adventure game in the style of Nanobots
I’m aiming for an early November release date
Now that this is out in the open, I can tell you there’s an Easter Egg near the vanishing point of the final image of Nanobots.

Wow, you’re really on the ball, Ivy!
Who knows, perhaps some day you’ll be rubbing elbows with the other great adventure game developers like Roberta Williams and Tim Schafer!

Haha, thanks Danny Smooth. I haven’t even met Dave Gilbert yet, so I have a ways to go!

Ah-ha! When Dave mentioned he’d be publishing a game from another indie creator, I knew it would be you!
Congrats!

Hey John, thanks for the kind words!
Whoa, I’ve been following the progress of “Nearly Departed” for a while, but I didn’t think you knew about me. I think it’s time to download that demo on your site…

John Green on LivelyIvy.com!
It’s like Wadjet Eye artists of past and present have teamed up to do… something.

I loved Spooks! It was one of the last AGS games that came out that worked with the MAC player.
I feel bad production on Nearly Departed is so slow, as I know some people are looking forward to it, but Dave can fill you in on what other game I’ve been busy with.

Erin signed an NDA so she knows! It’s like a little secret club in here.

I have an overwhelming desire to make a blanket fort now. Good thing Mittens is coming up.

Hi Erin,
I just wanted to congratulate you on winning the Women Game Artists competition, and let you know that I’m really looking forward to your games after playing Spooks this week.
I saw you mentioned on the Wadjet Eye Games a while back, and after downloading and playing Spooks, I’m glad I did. I’m definitely going to download and play your new game, and am looking forward to playing your new commercial game product.
It’s fantastic to see that puzzle and adventure games are being made again.

Thank you very much, Linda! I agree that the world needs more adventure games; unfortunately, the genre has quite a few drawbacks (e.g. getting stuck) that can make them an exercise in keyboard-snapping frustration.
Luckily, my team and I are putting quite a bit of work into fixing that little problem. Hopefully it’ll all go swimmingly. Er, robotically. :-,
